Joy Ride Riddim | The Joy Ride Riddim sits under the label of several producers and labels. One notable producer and the originator of the riddim is Dave Kelly a Jamaican record producer whose career started in the late eighties. He created his own label "Madhouse" in 1991 and has become one of the most successful dancehall producers in Jamaica. Dave's unconventional approach to music led to numerous hits and included an arsenal of prominent dancehall artistes. Among the cast were entertainers Wayne Wonder and Baby Cham whose contribution was the bonus track on the riddim "Joyride". An interesting story is that Baby Cham revealed that the track name "Joyride" came about during an actual joyride between Dave Kelly, Wayne Wonder and himself. Dave played the beat in his truck and the fact that they were on a road trip, the occasion inspired the song to be about himself and Wayne Wonder “cruising around wid a jeep full a honeys”.
